We hope our answer about cheap domain hosting has helped to solve your problem. Otherwise, you can try alternative answers below. If you disagree with us, please leave a comment in the box below.
1. free domain name registration/ free web hosting – doesn’t exist
2. cheap domain name/and free web hosting – that does exist but doesn’t work really well, for a cheap domain name I recommend Godaddy (you can get it for $7.69), for free web hosting I don’t recommend any
3. cheap hosting (free domain name included) would be the best option, like one of these: http://www.webhostingtable.com/
Powweb has the best offer right now. It’s on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them.
Their hosting plan includes web builder, so you can create your site just by drag and drop (without any programming), or you could install WordPress (easy, one click install from their control panel), choose a theme that you like, and start adding content.
You get what you pay for.
There are some free hosting services (angelfire.com and geocities, but I don’t know if they exist anymore). The problem with free hosting is they’re full of ads, and you have to pick a domain name that they suggest for you – you won’t get exactly what you want.
You can register your domain name and pick a host plan from godaddy.com pretty cheap – it will look more professional if you pay a little bit.
Don’t go for the free services, free doesn’t mean good.
If you are serious about your training service you should atleast get a cheap payed hosting like http://www.fredhost.com, their smallest plan is $3.95 monthly and they offer free domains for some plans.. good luck!
If your current internet provider is Earthlink, AOL, SBC Global and others which provide a homepage; you can easily FTP your own webpage designs as a new homepage. And using a redirection service such as mydomain.com or the forwarding of a parked domain name at godaddy.com, you can easily "mask" the homepage URL with a proper domain name. So in a sense, you have a working ecommerce website disguised as a homepage while still paying your normal monthly Internet provider’s access and hosting fee of the homepage.
Good luck!
Hi Franklin,
To be honest, no way you can get a free domain + free web hosting. If there’s one company like that, they would be out of business in no time.
It’s either you get a web hosting plan that comes with a free domain name, or you pay for a domain name to get a free web hosting.
But since you’re building a website for personal training service, I think it’s not necessary to spend on web hosting as that could be pretty pricey compared to just getting a domain name.
But take note though, for some free web hosting services, they require you to register domain name with them for $15 – $35, depending on who you go with, which I don’t recommend.
You can easily get a domain name for less than $10 per year at http://tinyurl.com/low-cost-domain instead and then sign up for a free web hosting service at http://tinyurl.com/free-website-hosting
With this free hosting service, they’ll provide you with a long and ugly url.
What you can do is to go to your domain control panel and forward your domain name to mask off that ugly url. Now, you have a cheap website hosting costing less than 10 bucks a year.
Do take note, this kind of free hosting service will stick some ads on your website. If you don’t mind, that will be your solution. If you want no ads, you’ll have to go for the type that requires you to register domain name with them for $15 – $35 as mentioned earlier.
Hope that helps.
